The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the French, presented to the United States in 1886. Lady Liberty welcomes immigrants as a symbol of freedom and democracy. This original ink and graphite pencil drawing measures approx. 5 1/2" W x 7 1/2" H on thin 8 1/2" x 11" brown paper.
